About Arts Education Resources

Arts education instruction benefits every NYC student and is a required curriculum subject at all grade levels. Studying the arts is a part of a complete education and teaches skills that are necessary for a 21st century student to succeed in school, work and life.

We want quality arts education instruction available in all NYC schools. Together we can continue to build on the progress started in 2014, when new resources were allocated for arts instruction in all five boroughs.

Together, let’s celebrate the arts education that is happening in many of our schools and together, let’s work to expand and increase arts education equity, access and opportunities so that all NYC students receive the arts instruction they deserve and are entitled to by law.
